Consignment A consignment is a contracted agreement between you, the seller of a car, and Go Motors, the advocate to represent you in the sale of your car to a third party. The terms of the consignment are as laid out on the Go Motors Consignment Agreement - - specifically, you do not collect payment on the sale of the car until it has been sold and is considered 'final'. Warranty We offer extended warranties through Total Value Protection of Prizm Warranty company. An extended warranty is one that surpasses the life of the factory warranty and is determined in terms of the number of months or miles you wish to purchase, as well as the components you wish to cover. Audi Factory Warranty The Audi Factory Warranty warranties the car from 4 years / 50,000mi from the original inservice date - whichever occurs first. You can find the original inservice date on the Carfax Report linked to the ad. County Clerk and Recorder's Office You can access the contact information, directions, and titling instructions on the website of most county clerks. If you live in Colorado, please refer to http://www.revenue.state.co.us/mv_dir/wrap.asp?incl=titleregoffices And outside of Colorado, go to your state government website. Third-party financial institution A third party financial institution is a Credit Union, Bank, or any other organization that acts as a lender on your behalf to pay for the car. Go Motors offers financing through CUDC, connecting you to over 150 local credit unions who compete for your business! Please contact Go Motors or access our financing information on our website. Credit Score and Credit Report Your credit score is a score, usually between 400-800, aggregated from your purchase and payment history. It is a reflection of the timeliness of payments made on loans, such as on a mortgage, tuition loan, credit card, or previous car purchase. The more consistent your payments, the better your score. Your credit report reflects every line of credit you have opened and it's status (active or inactive) and creates a score based on your personal history. When you are shopping for a car loan (or any other loan for that matter) a prospective Credit Union would access your credit score and your credit report. Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) A PPI is an inspection done by a mechanic on a car before it is purchased to assure that it is in good working order. Although each mechanic differs in number/types of inspection points, they for the most part do the same job in showing a potential buyer the work that has been done on the car and the work to be done on the car. Go Motors service department offers a PPI for $150. Leinholder A Leinholder is the financial institution who financed your car loan, and until the payments are complete, the leinholder also holds the title to your car. Principal The principal on your car loan is the remaining balance which you owe. Trade Appraisal When you trade in a car, we have to determine it's value by competing an appraisal. In order to do so, we start by looking at the physical condition of the car, inside and outside, taking note of the way in which it was kept and the quality of care it received over it's life. We look for mechanical and electrical problems, aesthetic damage and defects (scratches and dents, chipped paint, etc) as well as the overall operating condition of your car. After an inspection, we look to the national markets to determine the prices a car of the same make, model, year and mileage is selling for. Last, we balance our appraisal with a 'book value' determined by www.nada.com. Detailing Detailing refers to a process where we professionally clean the car in every detail, to make it like new. Please call Go Motors or come in to make an appointment. Prices are based on the time and labor. Payoff Payoff is the amount of principal that you owe to your leinholder, or Credit Union, that needs to be 'paid off' so that we own the car. This is obtainable through your leinholder. When you call, be sure to have either a bill or account information on hand. If you fail to provide your payoff amount and financial institution information at the time of the transaction, we ask that you provide us with your social security number, account number and sign an "Authorization Payoff Mortgage" form to authorize our payoff of your loan. Sight-Unseen Sight-unseen refers to the purchase of a car over the internet without having seen or driven the car in person, but through pictures. |
